San Andreas is more cosmopolitan than Providencia Leaving the quiet and lovely snorkeling in the small Columbian island of Providencia, we sailed to another Columbian island, San Andreas. More built up, very much a beach town vibe like Ocean City, MD, there was a lot more density. With that comes traffic, crime, trash, a big duty-free shopping district, restaurants, and night life. Providencia is the isla of mosaics

Colors and mosaics everywhere In addition to an amazingly well built boardwalk studded regularly with aquaculture inspired benches with crab, fish, and dolphin patterns, there are amazing mosaics everywhere! Walls, sculptures galore along with painted maps and tiles. Houses are very very brightly painted, and very very little litter is found on this lovely Columbian island.
